It is a gorgeous movie. It could have been considerably more potent than it is now if it had been a little shorter.

Despite having multiple melancholy parts, the movie’s overall tone is refreshing. Despite having a straightforward plot that everybody can guess, this film manages to delight and surprise its audience repeatedly.

Babylon is a movie that thinks, aims, and acts big but only feels average. It then commands us to care about the celluloid magic, a secondary emotional response that should emerge naturally.
