Episode 5 takes us back five years to Catherine saving Saidi, a soldier framed for refusing to cover up corruption. Her intervention steered him toward Night Action, changing his fate. In the present, Peter, Rose, and Catherine wrestle with a moral dilemma—whether to blackmail Noor into handing over critical intel. While Peter and Catherine lean toward manipulation, Rose pushes for a more ethical approach.

Meanwhile, at the embassy, Javad is piecing together the previous night’s events. He suspects a mole but hasn’t yet figured out it’s Noor. She feigns illness, buying herself some time. At the same time, Solomon visits a clinic for his infected stab wound, leading to a conversation with Celeste about his future. Later, he presses Jacob for a raise, and after a cryptic discussion about Night Action, Jacob agrees. He orders Solomon to find a way to lure Peter in.

Rose, on the other hand, negotiates a promotion with her boss, demanding an ethics board and equity in her spy app, Adverse. Meanwhile, Catherine enlists Saidi for a high-stakes mission: extracting Noor’s family from Iran. Noor provides intel, and Saidi reassures Peter, who’s haunted by past failures.

As Saidi arrives for the extraction, Noor’s brother, Farhad, panics. Unaware of the plan, he resists, alerting the neighbors. After tense negotiations, he finally agrees to leave, but at a checkpoint, he betrays Saidi, grabbing a gun and opening fire. Saidi retaliates, killing Farhad before dragging Noor’s mother to safety. In a gut-wrenching decision, Peter lies to Noor, telling her the mission was a success.

This episode was a masterclass in tension. The balance between action, moral dilemmas, and character-driven stakes made it one of the most gripping yet. Farhad’s impulsive actions sealed his fate, but could anyone blame him? His life was torn apart in a matter of minutes. Saidi’s decision to shoot was brutal but necessary and failure wasn’t an option.

Peter’s lie to Noor is bound to have consequences. When she learns the truth, will she still be willing to cooperate? The weight of this deception lingers, making Peter’s next moves crucial. Meanwhile, Javad’s tightening grip around Noor spells disaster. With Haleh revealing Noor’s secret, it’s only a matter of time before the walls close in on her.

On another front, Jacob’s interest in Peter deepens. He doesn’t want him dead—at least, not yet. The mystery around their connection adds another layer of intrigue. What does Jacob know about Night Action that Peter doesn’t?
