Plot:
The story begins when Roz, an advanced robot, regains consciousness on an uninhabited island following a shipwreck. Set in a future where the earth is mostly submerged by rising seas, this island still teems with life. However, the animals initially view Roz as a threat, labeling her a “monster.” But Roz’s programming defies their fears—she is designed to care for and serve others.
Over time, Roz takes on the role of a protector and caregiver, even becoming a mother figure to a small group of animals, including Fink, a lonely fox.
