Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), now married to Nisha (Shraddha Kapoor), teams up with Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana) and Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) to protect the town from new threats. As they dig deeper into Stree’s past, they uncover a disturbing connection between the spirit and Nisha.
Meanwhile, Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi) returns with fresh ideas and bizarre rituals to combat the paranormal forces. The group races against time to find a permanent solution to banish Stree and restore peace to their lives.
Review:
Stree 2 proves that lightning can indeed strike twice in Bollywood. Amar Kaushik delivers a sequel that retains the sharp wit of the first film while expanding its horror-comedy elements. The film expertly balances chills and laughs, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
Rajkummar Rao shines once again as Vicky, portraying a man torn between his new marriage and the supernatural chaos around him. Shraddha Kapoor enjoys more screen time in this sequel, bringing a nuanced performance as Nisha.
However, it’s Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee who steal the show as Bittu and Jana, providing perfect comic timing that offers much-needed relief during tense moments. Pankaj Tripathi’s Rudra remains a standout, delivering memorable lines with his trademark deadpan expression.
The screenplay excels in blending nostalgia with contemporary elements, propelling the story forward while maintaining the charm of the original. The film’s visuals are striking, with ghostly apparitions that will have you jumping out of your seat.
Overall, Stree 2 is a must-watch for fans of the genre, offering a thrilling and humorous ride that lives up to the legacy of its predecessor.
