Review

“Kakuda” brings to life the folklore of a haunted village where every home must have a small door to prevent the ghost Kakuda from causing harm. If the ghost finds a closed door, it kicks the male head of the household, leaving him with a fatal injury and only 13 days to live.

The narrative follows Indira (Sonakshi Sinha) and Sunny (Saqib Saleem), who face familial opposition due to Sunny’s inability to speak English. Defying her father, Indira marries Sunny. However, Sunny’s delay in reaching home after the wedding results in a deadly encounter with Kakuda. In his final days, Indira takes on the responsibility of protecting her husband.

The story introduces Victory (Riteish Deshmukh), a character who acts as a guide for souls, using charcoal paintings to help ghosts find salvation. He teams up with Indira, Sunny, and their friend Kilvish (Asif Khan) to resolve the mystery and confront the ghostly menace.
