Beloved Disney Channel Series Gets a Sequel, Premiering in October
Disney Channel is set to cast a spell on audiences once again with the highly anticipated sequel series, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place”. This follow-up to the popular original series will premiere on the network in **October**.
The magic will begin on October 29th with the debut of the first two episodes. Fans can then binge-watch the first eight episodes on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand the following day.
The enchanting adventures continue on **October 30th** with two new episodes, including a Halloween-themed treat. From **November 8th onwards**, viewers can tune in every Friday for two weekly episodes.
Raven-Symoné and Danielle Fishel will add their directorial touch to the series, bringing their expertise to the magical world.
“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” follows **Justin Russo** (David Henrie), now an adult who has chosen a normal life with his family. When his sister **Alex** (Selena Gomez) brings a young wizard-in-training named **Billie** (Janice LeAnn Brown) to his home, Justin must dust off his magical skills to mentor her while balancing his everyday responsibilities.
The series stars Henrie, LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Taylor Cora, and Mimi Gianopulos. Gomez will make a guest appearance in the first episode.
Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers, alongside Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez, and Henrie. Andy Fickman directed and executive-produced the pilot and will be involved in multiple episodes.
Gomez expressed her excitement about returning to the magical world, sharing, “It felt like I was home again. I’m so happy I got to bring back this childhood gift that I was given to new little ones out there.”
