Willa Fitzgerald joins Nadine Crocker’s ‘Desperation Road’

In addition to Garrett Hedlund, Mel Gibson, Ryan Hurst, Woody McClain, and Pyper Braun, Reacher’s Willa Fitzgerald has joined the cast of Nadine Crocker’s upcoming film, “Desperation Road.”
According to Deadline, Michael Farris Smith’s book “Desperation Road,” which is set in Mississippi and revolves around a single occurrence that causes the entire community to head toward conflict out of bitterness, anger, and regret, is set in that state.Fitzgerald portrays “Maben,” a single mother of a 7-year-old child, in the role.

When she returns to the village, sad memories from her past collide with the people she both loved and despised.
The project is being produced by Walter Josten (Replicas), Smith and Crocker, and Cassian Elwes (Mudbound). Fitzgerald will next be seen with Robert De Niro and Jack Huston in the suspenseful movie Wash Me in the River, directed by Randall Emmett, which debuts in theatres and is available on demand on December 2.
