Vivek Agnihotri’s “The Vaccine War: A True Story” to Release on September 28th, Showcasing India’s Bio-Scientific Journey

The Vaccine War: A True Story director Vivek Agnihotri recently invited viewers to choose the movie’s release date on Twitter or X. The movie’s new release date was ultimately announced by the director on Tuesday, along with a teaser showing a lab. In September, The Vaccine War: A True Story will be published. Originally, the movie was slated to come out in August.

Vivek wrote: “DATE ANNOUNCEMENT: Dear friends, your film The Vaccine War: A True Story will release worldwide on the auspicious day of 28th September 2023. Please bless us.”

Vivek tweeted on August 13, “Finally, The Vaccine War is complete. It’s India’s first bio-science film. Now wondering when to release?” The film features Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen and Pallavi Joshi, among others.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri had announced the start of the final schedule of his next movie, which is supposed to be based on real events, in June this year. It was previously believed that this year’s Dussehra, which falls on October 24, had caused the release date to be moved from August 15 to that day.

On Twitter or X, Vivek had posted a few glances from the last schedule’s shot and commented, “With the blessings of Maa Saraswati, beginning the last schedule of The Vaccine War.”

Vivek Agnihotri, the filmmaker of The Kashmir Files, had previously announced The Vaccine War as his follow-up movie for November 2022. The Vaccine War is expected to “open certain chapters about Indian bio-scientists and indigenous vaccines,” despite the fact that not much is known about the movie. According to reports, the movie also honors the commitment of the scientific community and the medical community throughout the tumultuous Covid-19 pandemic.
