Vijay Deverakonda and Keerthy Suresh Unite for Political Drama ‘Rowdy Janardhan’
Set against the rural political landscape of Andhra Pradesh, the film marks Keerthy Suresh’s anticipated return to Telugu cinema.
Emerging Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda is currently filming ‘Kingdom,’ an intense action thriller slated for release on May 30, 2025. Beyond this project, Deverakonda has committed to a new venture with renowned producer Dil Raju. This upcoming film, titled ‘Rowdy Janardhan,’ will be directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and is set in the rural political backdrop of Andhra Pradesh.
The production team is finalizing the cast, with the search for the leading lady recently concluding. According to industry buzz, acclaimed actress Keerthy Suresh has been selected to star opposite Deverakonda in ‘Rowdy Janardhan.’ Suresh, aiming for a strong comeback in Telugu cinema after a series of less successful films, was impressed by the script and has agreed to join the project. An official announcement from the filmmakers is expected soon.
Filming for ‘Rowdy Janardhan’ is scheduled to commence later this year, with Sri Venkateswara Creations producing the venture. In addition to this project, Deverakonda has also signed on for a period film directed by Rahul Sankrityan, produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The actor plans to manage shooting schedules for both films simultaneously.
