Veera Dheera Sooran 2 Faces Release Delay Due to Legal Dispute Over OTT Rights
Producer Shibu Thameens clarifies postponement was not due to financial issues, apologizes to stakeholders and fans

National Award-winning actor Vikram’s much-anticipated film, “Veera Dheera Sooran 2,” encountered unexpected delays on its scheduled release date of March 27, 2025. The morning and noon shows were canceled worldwide, leading to confusion and disappointment among fans. The film eventually premiered during the evening shows after resolving legal complications.
Producer Shibu Thameens addressed the situation on social media, expressing regret to actor Vikram, director SU Arun Kumar, the film’s crew, distributors, exhibitors, fans, and the audience for the unforeseen delay. He emphasized that the postponement was not due to the producer’s financial problems, as speculated by some.

Instead, the delay stemmed from issues related to the film’s OTT rights. The rights holder faced challenges in reselling them before the theatrical release, necessitating last-minute negotiations to safeguard their investment. Thameens extended special thanks to producer Kathiresan and Arulpathy for their support in resolving the matter.
