Triptii Dimri Embraces Comedy Challenge in “Bad Newz”
Acclaimed Actress Steps Outside Dramatic Comfort Zone

Triptii Dimri, who rose to fame for her dramatic roles in films like “Bulbbul” and “Qala,” is preparing to showcase her comedic abilities in the upcoming film “Bad Newz.” While the film, co-starring Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, promises laughs, Dimri admits that comedy was a genre she found particularly demanding.
In an interview with IANS, Dimri discussed her experience transitioning from drama to comedy. “Most of my work has been in dramas, but as an actor, it’s important to explore different genres and push myself,” she explained. “Comedy has always been a challenge for me, but in a good way. It’s been a great learning experience.”
Dimri expressed her gratitude to director Anand Tiwari for believing in her comedic potential. “No one has seen me do comedy at this level before,” she acknowledged. “It was especially challenging working alongside such talented comedic actors like Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk.”
This comedic venture marks a significant departure for Dimri, who has established herself as a powerful dramatic actress. However, her willingness to embrace new challenges highlights her dedication to artistic growth.
Dimri has a busy schedule ahead, with several upcoming projects beyond “Bad Newz.” She will be seen in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan, “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video,” and “Shazia Iqbal’s Dhadak 2” with Siddhant Chaturvedi.
