“The Raja Saab” Release Date Locked: Prabhas’ Pan-India Horror-Comedy to Hit Screens on 9 January 2026

Despite swirling rumours, the team confirms the film is on track for its Sankranti release, with post-production nearing completion and deals set to wrap this November.

Social media and Tollywood circles were abuzz with reports that Prabhas’ much-anticipated film The Raja Saab might miss the Sankranti window. However, the makers have now officially clarified that there’s no delay — the film will indeed release worldwide on January 9, 2026, as originally planned.

Directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory in collaboration with IVY Entertainment, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be a full-fledged romantic horror-comedy designed for a pan-India audience. The team has confirmed that post-production is progressing smoothly, with VFX work in its final stages. The film’s music composer, Thaman S, will begin re-recording in December after completing work on Akhanda 2.

Starring Prabhas, Malavika Mohanan, and Nidhhi Agerwal in lead roles, with Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, and Suniel Shetty in key supporting parts, the film promises a mix of thrills, laughs, and high-octane entertainment. The production, which reportedly carries a massive ₹400-crore budget, has been in the works since 2022, with significant emphasis on top-tier visual effects and large-scale sets.

The makers are expected to finalize both theatrical and non-theatrical deals by the end of November, paving the way for a grand release. With the post-production team working tirelessly under Maruthi’s supervision, The Raja Saab is locked and loaded for its Sankranti 2026 arrival — putting all delay rumours to rest.
