Taraji P. Henson to Lead Peacock’s TV Adaptation of 50 Cent’s Novel The Accomplice

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s bestselling thriller gets the small-screen treatment with Henson starring as a determined Texas Ranger caught in a web of conspiracy.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s latest novel The Accomplice, co-written with Aaron Philip Clark and published in September 2024, is officially being developed into a television series by Peacock. The streaming platform is collaborating with Universal Content Productions (UCP), G-Unit Films & Television, and Taraji P. Henson’s production company TPH Entertainment to bring the story to life.

Taraji P. Henson, best known for her roles in Empire and Hidden Figures, is set to headline the series as Nia Adams, a fearless Texas Ranger chasing down master thief Desmond Bell. What begins as a thrilling pursuit quickly escalates into a deep conspiracy, forcing Adams to choose between exposing the truth and protecting the very system she swore to uphold. Both Henson and Jackson will serve as executive producers on the series, though a writer has yet to be attached.
