Tamilian SuperHero ‘Veeran’ Gets OTT Release Date

On June 30, the superhero movie “Veeran” from Tamil will make its online streaming premiere on Prime Video, the streamer announced on Saturday. In the fantasy-action film, directed by Ark Saravanan and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, one half of the well-known music group Hiphop Tamizha, plays the major character.

Earlier this month, the movie was released in theaters. A little kid named Kumara from the village of Veeranur is the subject of the tale. One day, Kumara is struck by lightning, which leaves him in a coma.

the official plotline reads, “Seeking better treatment for Kumara, his father decides to send him abroad. But years later, upon his return, Kumara realizes that he has gained superpowers which he must now hone to protect his village from an evil corporation and their menacing technology that could endanger innocent lives,”.

Saravanan said “Veeran” is a family entertainer that gives Tamil cinema its first superhero from rural Tamil Nadu.With elements of fantasy, action, drama,
and comedy, the film also touches upon the fine line between superstition and faith, making it a very intriguing and entertaining watch for audiences of all ages,” he said in a statement.
Hiphop Tamizha Adhi claimed that “Veeran” fulfilled a lifelong dream of his to play a superhero in a film.

Veeran is the superhero I was always intended to play, and as I read the plot and script and dug deeper into the character, I became even more certain of this. When the movie releases, I can’t wait for viewers everywhere to see it and enjoy it,” he continued.
