Suriya’s much-anticipated period drama Kanguva is gearing up for a major release on November 14, with excitement building among fans. Director Siva recently confirmed that a second trailer will be released soon, giving audiences another glimpse of the epic story ahead of its premiere.

Siva revealed that the idea of turning Kanguva into a multi-film franchise is already in motion, thanks to the overwhelmingly positive response to the first trailer. He mentioned that the storyline offers plenty of room for future installments, hinting at a possible sequel. “While writing the screenplay, I felt the film needed a continuation—it’s not just one story but part of something larger,” Siva said in an interview.

The director also disclosed that the final runtime of Kanguva stands at 2 hours and 32 minutes, trimmed slightly from the original cut of 2 hours and 42 minutes. With a rich narrative that spans multiple emotions and settings, Siva believes this film is just the beginning of a larger cinematic journey.

Alongside Suriya, the film features an eclectic cast, including Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Aarash Shah, and Redin Kingsley. While Suriya hinted that the film’s ending leaves room for a sequel, he emphasized that Kanguva offers much more than just an open-ended conclusion.
