Sunny Deol’s New Look Sparks Ramayana Buzz During Mountain Getaway

After wrapping Border 2, Sunny Deol flaunts a fresh avatar in the Himalayas, hinting at his upcoming role as Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.

Bollywood’s timeless action icon Sunny Deol is taking a well-deserved break in the snowy Himalayas after finishing the shoot for Border 2. But it’s not just the serene mountains that caught fans’ attention—it’s Sunny’s striking new look that’s got everyone talking.

The actor recently took to Instagram to share glimpses of his mountain road trip, where he can be seen soaking in the crisp mountain air and posing beside his car in a cool blue sweater, grey trousers, and a beanie. However, what truly stole the show was his clean-shaven look, a departure from his signature rugged style. Many believe this transformation is connected to his much-anticipated role in Ramayana.

Accompanying his scenic post was a track from Formula 1 by Hans Zimmer—who’s also scoring Ramayana—adding further fuel to speculation. Sunny captioned his post, “Life’s a winding road through mountain peaks — fresh look, new direction,” hinting at a transformative phase both personally and professionally.

Sunny is all set to portray Lord Hanuman in Ramayana, a high-profile mythological epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra. The film boasts a star-studded ensemble with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The teaser for the film has already generated major buzz online. The first installment is scheduled to release on Diwali 2026, followed by its second part on Diwali 2027.

In addition to Ramayana, fans can look forward to Sunny’s return to the battlefield in Border 2, the sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 war classic. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is slated for release on January 23, 2026.
