Sunny Deol Takes Ailing Father Dharmendra to the US for Medical Treatment Amid Gadar 2’s Blockbuster Success

In a heartwarming display of family care and success celebration, actor Sunny Deol has accompanied his ailing father, Dharmendra, to the United States for medical treatment while basking in the monumental success of his latest blockbuster, Gadar 2. This touching gesture was reported by India Today, revealing that Sunny has prioritized his father’s health during this triumphant period.

According to sources cited by India Today, both the veteran actor Dharmendra, who is currently 87 years old, and his devoted son Sunny, will spend approximately 20 days in the United States for Dharmendra’s medical treatment. The decision to seek treatment abroad stems from Dharmendra’s recent health issues, prompting Sunny to ensure the best possible care for his father. The duration of their stay in the US is expected to be between 15 to 20 days, depending on the progress of the treatment. No cause for concern has been indicated regarding their absence.

Gadar 2, which made its grand debut on August 11, has swiftly become one of the most sought-after movies of the year. Directed by Anil Sharma and starring Sunny Deol, the film made an impressive 40 crore rupees on its opening day at the box office. Furthermore, it has now ascended to the prestigious 500 crore club in the domestic box office, joining the ranks of iconic films like Baahubali 2 and Pathaan.

Dharmendra recently graced a celebratory event organized by the cast and crew of Gadar 2, marking the movie’s phenomenal success. He appeared in a cheerful gray kurta, jeans, and a cap, radiating positivity despite his health concerns. Prior to this, he shared a heartwarming video on his social media, captured during a recent screening of the movie, where enthusiastic fans broke into spontaneous dance during the closing credits. Dharmendra expressed his gratitude, saying, “Love you all for your loving response… Gadar (folded hands emoticon).” The video featured an exuberant crowd of fans joyfully dancing to the tunes of Gadar 2’s hit song, “Main Nikla Gaddi Leke,” having been deeply moved by the film’s impact.
