Sunny Deol Enthusiastic About Upcoming Film ‘Lahore 1947’
Actor Highlights the Film’s Grand Scale and Anticipated Release

Sunny Deol has expressed his enthusiasm for his forthcoming film, Lahore 1947, emphasizing the project’s significant scale and compelling narrative. Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming action movie, Jaat, Deol remarked, “I was hoping to do big films, and it’s happening now. Lahore 1947 is coming this year.”
Produced by Aamir Khan Productions and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Lahore 1947 is set against the backdrop of the 1947 partition of India. The film brings together Deol, Santoshi, and Khan for the first time, with Aamir Khan serving as producer and Santoshi, known for his masterful storytelling, directing the period drama.

The ensemble cast includes Preity Zinta, marking her return to the screen after a seven-year hiatus, along with Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh in pivotal roles. An insider revealed that the film’s shooting concluded after an intensive 70-day schedule without breaks, noting, “It’s been a superb experience to see stalwart actors bring a magical quality to the film.”
In addition to Lahore 1947, Deol is gearing up for the release of Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni. The action-packed film features Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra. Jaat is scheduled to hit theaters on April 10, 2025.
