Steve Carell and Tina Fey Reunite for Netflix’s “The Four Seasons” Series
The Office and 30 Rock stars join forces in a modern adaptation of the 1981 classic film

Steve Carell and Tina Fey, beloved stars of The Office and 30 Rock respectively, are set to team up once again for Netflix’s upcoming series “The Four Seasons.” This collaboration marks a reunion for the dynamic duo after their memorable portrayal of a married couple in the 2010 movie Date Night.
Netflix secured the rights to “The Four Seasons” in a heated bidding war, swiftly ordering the series straight-to-production earlier this year. Co-created by Tina Fey alongside fellow 30 Rock alums Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, the show is slated to begin production later this year.
Based on the 1981 Alan Alda film of the same name, “The Four Seasons” explores the dynamics of three couples who vacation together each season. The story delves into the intricacies of their relationships, particularly when one couple’s breakup leads to unexpected changes within the group. The original film boasted a star-studded cast including Carol Burnett, Len Cariou, and Rita Moreno.
The series is a homecoming of sorts for Fey, whose production banner Little Stranger has long been associated with Universal Television. Carell, too, returns to familiar territory, having previously collaborated with Universal TV on the iconic series The Office.
Executive producers on “The Four Seasons” include Fey, Fisher, and Wigfield, who previously worked together on the Emmy-winning final season of 30 Rock. Also joining the team are David Miner, Eric Gurian, and Jeff Richmond. Alan Alda, the visionary behind the original film, along with Marissa Bregman, daughter of the film’s producer Martin Bregman, will be credited as producers.
For Carell, the series marks a return to Netflix following his successful stint on Space Force, created by The Office’s Greg Daniels. Meanwhile, Fey, who has a rich history with Netflix including the critically acclaimed Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, is set to make her comeback in a lead acting role since the conclusion of 30 Rock.
With the talent of Fey, Carell, and the creative minds behind the scenes, “The Four Seasons” promises to be a compelling addition to Netflix’s roster, offering audiences a fresh take on timeless themes of love, friendship, and the complexities of human relationships.
