‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ Creative Team to be awarded at Denver Film Festival
The creative team from 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' has been chosen to be honored with an inaugural award at the Denver Film Festival.
The film festival announced an extensive lineup of events, screenings, honorees, special
guests, podcasts, and more for this edition, which is slated from November 3, 2023, to
November 12, 2023. The 2023 American animated superhero film will be bestowed the
inaugural Denver Film Festival 5280 Award.
The Hollywood Reporter mentioned that the award recognizes "exceptional cinematic work and collaboration to achieve new heights.
After a screening of the film on November 7, 2023, at the AMC 9 + CO 10, the award will be
given to writers and producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, executive producer Bob
Persichetti, producer Christina Steinberg, and senior animation supervisor Humberto Rosa.
On November 4, 2023, at the AMC CO 9 + 10, Singaporean film director, screenwriter, and
film producer Anthony Chen will be receiving the Denver Film Festival Excellence in
Directing Award following the screening of one of his new films The Breaking Ice.
On November 7 and 8, another film of his, Drift,; which made it to the fest selection, will screen.The opener for this year’s Denver Film Festival marks to be Cord Jeffersons American Fiction starring Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, and Adam Brody.
