Spanish Actor Gabriel Guevara Arrested at Venice Film Festival Amidst Sexual Assault Allegations

Spanish actor and model Gabriel Guevara has been apprehended at the Venice Film Festival after having an active international warrant out on him for an alleged sexual assault in France.

On September 2, Saturday, Italian state police in Venice arrested the ‘Skam España’ actor. The incident took place just a day prior to him receiving a Best Young Actor honor given out by Filming Italy on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

Following his arrest, Filming Italy revoked the award as a “precautionary measure” pending the result of the case against Guevara.

The festival addressed the incident on its official Twitter account and posted,

“#BiennaleCinema2023 #Venezia80 #LaBiennaleDiVenezia would like to specify that the presence in #Venice of Spanish actor #GabrielGuevara, that some press websites have recently reported as being under arrest, was not linked to any activity or production of the 80th Venice International Film Festival.”

Guevara added to his career recognition with his character Nick in the Spanish romantic drama movie, ‘My Fault,’ directed by Domingo González.

Gabriel Guevara’s other projects include an upcoming role in Red Flags, along with his previous projects ‘How to Screw it All Up,’ ‘You’re Nothing Special,’ ‘HIT,’ ‘Dangerous Moms,’ and ‘Charter.’
