During Sony’s presentation at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Neil Druckmann, co-creator of “The Last of Us,” announced that the second season of the HBO series is scheduled to premiere in April 2025. A teaser trailer was unveiled, offering glimpses of returning characters Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), as well as introducing Abby, portrayed by Kaitlyn Dever.

The official synopsis for Season 2 indicates a timeline set five years after the inaugural season, with Joel and Ellie navigating heightened dangers and internal conflicts.
