Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal to Wed: Family Dynamics and Approval

In the past few days, the Internet buzzed with rumors of Sonakshi Sinha’s impending marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. A recent source confirmed that everything is harmonious within Sonakshi Sinha’s family. The couple is set to marry on June 23 in Mumbai.

Sonakshi’s father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, was reportedly upset about not being informed sooner about the wedding plans. However, Pahlaj Nihalani, a close family friend and former head of the Central Board of Film Certification, reassured in a Zoom interview that the family relations are intact. He confirmed, “Everything is well between Sonakshi and her family.”

When asked if Shatrughan Sinha and his family would attend the wedding, Pahlaj emphatically responded, “Of course, why shouldn’t they? Shatrughan can’t stay upset for long, especially with Sonakshi. She is his darling. There’s no question of not attending the wedding. As Shatruji mentioned, children nowadays inform their parents about their decisions rather than seek permission. Why should he be upset if Sonakshi is marrying someone she loves? Shatruji himself chose his life partner 40 years ago, as did I. Unrealistic expectations from one’s children are unnecessary.”

Addressing Shatrughan’s initial reaction post-announcement, Pahlaj added, “You probably spoke to him when he was away from Mumbai for three months due to elections. Bhabhiji (Poonam Sinha) must have been aware and decided to inform him upon his return. Now that he is back in Mumbai, all is well within the Sinha family.”
