Shraddha Kapoor Wows with Her Language Skills on Stree Set, Reveals Abhishek Banerjee

Abhishek Banerjee shares an amusing behind-the-scenes moment when Shraddha Kapoor showcased her remarkable talent for speaking different accents during a technical glitch on set.

Shraddha Kapoor, celebrated for her acting talent, striking beauty, and versatile performances, has yet another skill that left her co-stars impressed. In a recent interview, Abhishek Banerjee, who starred alongside her in the hit horror-comedy Stree, revealed an entertaining behind-the-scenes moment from their time on set.

While filming Stree, the team experienced an unexpected technical glitch, causing a brief pause in production. Instead of letting the break go to waste, Shraddha decided to entertain the crew by demonstrating her ability to speak in various accents.

Abhishek Banerjee, who played the role of Jana in the film, fondly recalled how he and the crew were among the first to witness Shraddha’s impressive linguistic skills. He shared with SCREEN, “We were the first audience who saw her talk in different accents. There was a camera glitch, and while we were waiting for our shot, we had mics in hand, so we decided to do a little entertainment program for the crew. That’s when Shraddha started doing accents.”

This unexpected display of talent left everyone in awe, and Shraddha later opened up in interviews about how she developed the ability to mimic various accents. Her skill was widely praised by both her colleagues and fans, adding to her already impressive list of attributes.

Stree, which marked Amar Kaushik’s directorial debut, was a major success, kicking off a new horror-comedy universe under Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The movie also featured Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi. In 2024, the sequel to Stree became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films, with the original cast reprising their iconic roles.
