Shamshera to release on OTT

The Ranbir Kapoor-starring movie “Shamshera” will now be available on OTT platforms, but only when Yash Raj Films deposits Rs 1 crore with the Delhi High Court’s registry. Justice Jyoti Singh made the ruling following a petition filed by Bikramjeet Singh Bhullar accusing the filmmakers of violating his copyright in the book “Kabhu na chade Khet.”

In the order dated August 18, the judge noted that the movie was released in theatres last month and was set to be released on OTT platforms on Friday; therefore, it would be appropriate to allow the release of the movie on OTT platforms subject to the deposit of Rs 1 crore by August 22 in order to balance the equities between the parties. Fans are more excited to hear this.
