Shah Rukh Khan Confirms Siddharth Anand as Director for Upcoming Film ‘King’

Bollywood Icon Teases New Project Featuring Daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially announced that his forthcoming film, titled ‘King’, will be directed by Siddharth Anand, known for his work on ‘Pathaan’. The film is set to feature Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, in a significant role, alongside Abhishek Bachchan.

During a recent event at the Global Village in Dubai, Shah Rukh Khan shared insights into the project, stating, “I’m not just shooting it here; I’m shooting it in Mumbai now when I go back in a couple of months. My director, who is Siddharth Anand, is very strict. He made Pathaan. So he is very strict. He said, ‘Don’t tell people about the film, what you are doing in it.’ So I can’t tell you, but I can assure you it will entertain you; you will have fun.”

Reflecting on the film’s title, Khan humorously remarked, “I’ve used many titles…Now we have run out of titles…Now, Shah Rukh Khan as Shah Rukh Khan in King. That was a bit of a show-off.”

‘King’ was initially slated to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, who penned the story. However, it was later announced that Siddharth Anand would take over as director. The film is currently in production, with Shah Rukh Khan filming his portions since last year. While there has been no official announcement regarding the full cast or release date, reports suggest that Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan will play pivotal roles.

The collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand follows their successful partnership on ‘Pathaan’, which was a significant box office hit. Fans eagerly anticipate this new venture, expecting a blend of compelling storytelling and high-octane action sequences.
