‘Scream 7’ To Be Directed By Christopher Landon

Good news for all the horror fans out there, the American murder mystery and slasher franchise, Scream, is to be back with a seventh installment and has decided on a new director.

According to multiple news reports, Spyglass Media Group will be in charge of the production, and Christopher Landon, well known for helming ‘Happy Death Day’ and ‘Freaky,’ will be the new director.

Landon will be taking over for Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the duo called Radio Silence that worked to relaunch the franchise and directed the last two installments.

Deadline reported that the duo, along with their partner Chad Villella will be there as executive producers.

According to the report by Deadline, Paramount is anticipated to be the distributor once again. However, the upcoming seventh installment presently has no writer, which probably won’t be determined till the Writers Guild strike comes to an end.

‘Scream 6’ was released in March 2023 and broke franchise records by earning $168 million at the global box office.

On February 24, 2023, the latest movie directed by Christopher Landon, ‘We Have a Ghost,’ starring David Harbour and Jahi Winston, premiered on Netflix.
