The upcoming film ‘Sikandar,’ starring Salman Khan and directed by AR Murugadoss, is set to release on March 30, 2025. The production faced significant challenges due to heightened security measures following death threats against the actor. In an interview with The Times of India, Murugadoss discussed the demanding nature of the shoot, which often involved coordinating scenes with 10,000 to 20,000 people on set. He emphasized that managing such large crowds required intense coordination and high security. ​

The director elaborated on the impact of the security threats, stating that the rigorous checking of extra artists took 2-3 hours daily, leading to delays and extended shooting hours. Despite these challenges, the team adapted, maintaining a positive energy on set.

The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Murugadoss highlighted that ‘Sikandar’ is not just a mass film but also delves into strong family emotions, exploring the dynamics of a husband-wife relationship.

Salman Khan has been under heightened security following multiple death threats, reportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which demanded an apology or a payment of ₹5 crore. These threats have led to increased vigilance during the film’s production. ​
