Salman Khan Hits Back: Takes Sharp Digs at AR Murugadoss and Abhinav Kashyap on Bigg Boss 19

The superstar defends himself against claims of being late on Sikandar sets and humorously questions his critics’ recent failures and motives.

Salman Khan, who is currently hosting Bigg Boss Season 19, didn’t hold back during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode as he responded to allegations made by filmmaker AR Murugadoss and took a cheeky dig at director Abhinav Kashyap. Known for his signature wit, Salman turned serious accusations into moments of sharp humour and unapologetic clarity.

It all began when comedian Ravi Gupta appeared on the show and asked Salman to name movies he regretted doing. The actor initially mentioned Suryavanshi and Nishchay, but when pressed about any recent films, he brought up Sikandar—the film that has recently become the subject of controversy due to Murugadoss’ claims.

Addressing those allegations, Salman quipped, “Kya hai na main set pe raat ke 9 baje pahuchta tha, toh usme gadbad ho gayi. Meri pasaliyan tooti thi, isne jo hamare director sahab hain unhone ye kaha. Lekin unki picture abhi ek release hui hai jisme actor 6 baje pahuchta tha.” The actor was referring to Murugadoss’ recent film Madharaasi, which failed to make a mark at the box office.

Salman further revealed how producer Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss eventually backed away from Sikandar. “Pehle toh ye picture thi Murugadoss aur Sajid Nadiadwala ki. Uske baad Sajid pahle kalti, Murugadoss wapas se hat gaya wahan se seedha South picture,” he said, adding with a smile, “Madharaasi karke picture unhone direct ki hai jo release hui, bahut badi film hai aur utni hi badi… Sikandar se badi blockbuster.”

The actor didn’t stop there. Taking aim at Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap, who has made several strong allegations against him and other Bollywood stars, Salman said, “Ek aur hain hamare paas ek Dabangg insan. Abhi mere saath unhone Aamir ko lapete mein le liya, Shah Rukh ko bhi le liya. Maine pichhle Weekend Ke Vaar pe bola tha ki kaam karo. To aaj wapas se poochna chahta hu, kaam mila kya bhai?”

Salman also cautioned that those constantly attacking others in the industry might end up hurting their own careers. He emphasized the importance of focusing on work instead of stirring controversies, subtly warning his critics that such behaviour only isolates them from future opportunities.

With his trademark mix of sarcasm and authority, Salman Khan once again proved that he’s unafraid to confront criticism head-on—especially when it comes from those trying to question his professionalism or legacy.
