Salman Khan Gears Up for ‘Sikandar’: A Blend of Action and Emotion
Actor Discusses Upcoming Eid Release and On-Screen Persona

Salman Khan is set to make a powerful return to the big screen with “Sikandar,” an action-packed thriller directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 30, 2025, the film marks Khan’s first Eid release after a significant hiatus. Advance bookings have already surpassed ₹12 crore, indicating strong anticipation among audiences.
In a recent interview with NDTV, Khan reflected on his character in “Sikandar” and its parallels to his own life. Addressing a scene from the trailer where his character is followed by a group of individuals, Khan remarked, “I don’t find it too relatable. It isn’t limited to my films. It is also a feature of Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil films which are commercial hits.”

Khan also cautioned against conflating cinematic exaggeration with reality, stating, “They start thinking, I can take on 10 people. No, you can’t take on 10 people. Don’t even try it. They’ll beat the hell out of you.”
“Sikandar” features Rashmika Mandanna and Kajal Aggarwal in prominent roles. Mandanna, affectionately dubbed “Golden Girl” and “Crushmika” by fans, has received praise from Khan for her performance. The film promises a compelling mix of action sequences and emotional depth, with Khan emphasizing, “For an action film, emotions are very important.”
As the release date approaches, “Sikandar” is poised to make a significant impact at the box office, offering audiences a thrilling cinematic experience this Eid.
