Riteish Deshmukh’s Striking Transformation in ‘Raid 2’ First Look

Actor Portrays Formidable Politician ‘Dada Bhai’ Opposite Ajay Devgn

Riteish Deshmukh has unveiled his compelling first-look poster from the upcoming film Raid 2, directed by Rajkumar Gupta. In this sequel, Deshmukh takes on the role of Dada Bhai, a powerful politician and the primary antagonist challenging Ajay Devgn’s character, IRS officer Amay Patnaik. ​

The poster features Deshmukh standing assertively amidst a throng of supporters waving “Gareeb Jan Party” flags. Dressed in a traditional kurta-pajama paired with a Nehru jacket, his intense expression and raised fist convey a commanding presence. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Deshmukh captioned it, “Kanoon ka mohtaj nahi, kanoon ka malik hai Dada Bhai! #Raid2 knocking in cinemas near you from 1st May.”

This reveal follows the release of Ajay Devgn’s first-look poster, where he reprises his role as the steadfast IRS officer Amay Patnaik. In that poster, Devgn stands amidst towering stacks of files, symbolizing his relentless pursuit of justice. The caption reads, “Naya shehar. Nayi file. Aur Amay Patnaik ki ek nayi raid. #Raid2 knocking at your doors in cinemas near you on May 1, 2025.” ​

Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Raid, which was inspired by a real-life income tax raid from the 1980s and received acclaim for its gripping narrative. The upcoming film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor, and is slated for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025. ​
