Rhea Chakraborty Opens Up About New Chapter, Moving On After Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death
Actress Launches Podcast “Chapter 2,” Discusses Life After Media Scrutiny and Shares New Career Path

Rhea Chakraborty is embarking on a new chapter in her life. The actress, who faced intense media scrutiny following the death of her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, has launched a podcast titled “Chapter 2” to reflect on her journey and inspire others.
In the podcast’s debut episode featuring actress Sushmita Sen, Chakraborty opens up about her current life and career. She reveals she has stepped away from acting and now focuses on motivational speaking. “There’s a misconception about what I do now,” she says. “I’m not in films, but I do motivational speaking and that’s how I earn my living.”
The title “Chapter 2” holds a special meaning for Chakraborty. “Everyone thinks they know my story,” she says. “I went through a lot, felt many emotions, and became different versions of myself. Now, I finally feel like a new and improved me, reborn. I want to celebrate that feeling and anyone else starting their own ‘chapter two.’ It’s okay to move on and embrace change.”
The actress acknowledges the public’s perception of her, admitting they may have disliked a “public persona” she created. “They had an issue with the image I projected, which they interpreted differently,” she says.
She even jokes about the polarized reactions she gets now. “I can enter a room and instantly sense people’s opinions,” she laughs. “Some might think ‘She’s evil,’ while others see a strong woman. It doesn’t matter anymore. The love and support I get is enough, and those who dislike me, well, that’s okay too.”
