Renowned for his versatile skills, Vishweshwara Rao, a prominent figure in Tamil and Telugu cinema, has tragically passed away in Chennai after battling cancer. The news of his demise has sent shockwaves through the industry, leaving stars and fans devastated, including Seshu and Daniel Balaji.
At the age of 64, Vishweshwara Rao breathed his last on April 2, at a private hospital in Chennai where he was undergoing treatment for cancer. Despite the efforts, his health deteriorated, leading to his untimely demise. His sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of many who have cherished his comedic talents and acting prowess over the years.
Apart from his notable performances in Tamil and Telugu movies, Vishweshwara Rao was also recognized for his contributions behind the camera, having directed and produced television shows. His journey in the entertainment industry began as a writer and director before he ventured into acting. Hailing from Andhra Pradesh, he starred in over 300 films across both languages, with his role as Laila’s father in the critically acclaimed film “Pithamagan,” directed by Bala, being among his most memorable performances.
The passing of Vishweshwara Rao marks the third loss to the Tamil film industry in less than two weeks, following the deaths of Seshu and Daniel Balaji.
