Ranveer Singh Sets Sights on Upcoming Film Slate

Ranveer Singh, fresh off his appearance alongside Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” is gearing up for a flurry of new projects over the next couple of years. According to a report from Pinkvilla, the actor is poised to dive into several significant films, including “Shaktimaan,” “Don 3,” and “Singham Again,” with Basil Joseph slated to direct the former.

“Don 3” is scheduled to be filmed both in India and abroad, spanning a seven-month period and aiming for a wrap by March 2025. Following this, Ranveer Singh will seamlessly transition into “Shaktimaan” in May 2025. A source disclosed to Pinkvilla, “Right after Don 3, it’s time for Shaktimaan. The film has been in the writing stage for over three years now and the team has finally cracked a script that’s worthy of doing justice to the legacy of Shaktimaan. The film will be directed by Basil Joseph, with Sony Pictures India and Sajid Nadiadwala as the producers.”

In a September 2023 Instagram live session, Tovino Thomas hinted at a potential collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Basil Joseph. Tovino, celebrating the announcement of his movie “2018” being selected as India’s official Oscar submission, received a surprise comment from Ranveer during the broadcast, expressing “Love from Mumbai.”

Taking notice of Ranveer’s comment, Tovino reciprocated the sentiment and began to reveal discussions with director Basil Joseph about the exciting prospect of working with Ranveer. Although the specific project wasn’t disclosed, Tovino hinted at an imminent collaboration between Ranveer and Basil, expected to commence filming soon.
