In a recent interview on Cavanaugh James’s podcast, ‘Read The Room,’ Priyanka shared candid insights into the difficulties she encountered while trying to make her mark in Hollywood, despite her prior achievements, including her chart-topping album “Exotic.”

Recalling the early days of her Hollywood career, Priyanka revealed the profound sense of isolation she experienced in New York City, a city already known for its intimidating atmosphere. “It was the industry that I didn’t know, the people, I didn’t know, I didn’t have friends who would call at 2 in the morning. That’s very important. I was very lonely, and it was very scary. It was a dark period of my life,” she confessed.

Despite facing numerous setbacks and rejections, Priyanka remained resilient, attributing her humility to those experiences. “It was like starting all over again. I started right from the beginning. I had featured on the cover of a certain magazine six times in my country, but in the US, they wouldn’t even take a meeting with me,” she revealed. However, she approached these challenges with humility, acknowledging that her prior accolades did not guarantee success in a new market.

Priyanka’s perseverance eventually paid off, leading her to achieve global recognition. Currently, she is working on the upcoming film “Heads of State” alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. Recent photos from the set feature Priyanka with her adorable companion, Baby Malti. Additionally, she is preparing for the next season of “Citadel” and reportedly considering a project with acclaimed Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
