Created by Robert Kirkman, the mastermind behind The Walking Dead, Invincible is an adult animated superhero show based on the Skybound/Image comic of the same name co-created by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. The story revolves around seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun), an ordinary young man whose life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers that his father, Omni-Man (voiced by J.K. Simmons), is the most powerful superhero on Earth.

As Mark begins to develop his own superpowers, he uncovers unsettling truths about his father’s legacy, leading to a series of thrilling and action-packed adventures.

In addition to the second season, Prime Video has exciting plans for Invincible fans. On July 21, the platform will premiere “Invincible Atom Eve,” a standalone episode centered around the titular character, adding even more depth to the Invincible universe.

The show boasts an impressive star-studded cast, with talented actors like Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Seth Rogen (This is the End), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Andrew Rannells (Black Monday, Girls), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Walton Goggins (Justified), Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Mahershala Ali (Moonlight), Melise (The Flash), Kevin Michael Richardson (The Simpsons), Grey Griffin (Avengers Assemble), and Khary Payton (The Walking Dead) lending their voices to various characters in the series.

Invincible is a production of Skybound, with Robert Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), and Catherine Winder (The Angry Birds Movie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) serving as executive producers. Supervising Director Jeff Allen (Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man) and casting director Linda Lamontagne complete the talented team behind this thrilling show.

Notably, Invincible is based on Kirkman’s second-longest comic-book series, which concluded in February 2018 after an impressive 15-year run. Fans can expect the show to continue its success and deliver another thrilling season packed with surprises, action, and emotional depth.
