‘Game of Thrones’ Star to Portray Leon Prater, a Billionaire with a Sinister Secret, in Upcoming Paramount+ Series

Peter Dinklage, renowned for his Emmy-winning role in ‘Game of Thrones,’ has been cast in ‘Dexter: Resurrection,’ the latest installment of the acclaimed series on Paramount+ with Showtime. Dinklage will take on the role of Leon Prater, a billionaire venture capitalist who, while publicly celebrated as a generous philanthropist, harbors a dark and mysterious side.

Michael C. Hall is set to return as Dexter Morgan, the complex serial killer who has captivated audiences since the show’s inception. The series also welcomes back original cast members David Zayas as Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Harry Morgan. Uma Thurman joins the ensemble as Charley, a former Special Ops officer now serving as Prater’s meticulous right-hand woman.

Clyde Phillips resumes his role as showrunner and executive producer, with Hall also serving as an executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Marcos Siega will direct six of the ten episodes, while Monica Raymund is set to direct the remaining four. Production commenced in New York in January, aiming for a summer release.

This new chapter follows the events of ‘Dexter: New Blood’ and is part of a broader expansion of the ‘Dexter’ universe, which includes the prequel series ‘Dexter: Original Sin,’ featuring Patrick Gibson in the lead role and Hall providing voiceover narration.

Dinklage’s recent work includes a starring role in the film adaptation of the musical ‘Wicked,’ where he portrayed Dr. Dillamond.
