Nani’s ‘HIT: The Third Case’ Shatters Box Office Records with Career-Best Opening

The Telugu action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu sees massive turnout across India and North America, reaffirming Nani’s box office appeal.

Natural Star Nani’s latest film, HIT: The Third Case, has stormed into theaters with a record-breaking opening, marking the biggest debut of his career. Released on May 1, 2025, the film has captivated audiences across India, including the Telugu states, Karnataka, and Kerala, with many shows reporting ‘Fast Filling’ or ‘Sold Out’ statuses. In North America, the movie has already amassed over $800,000 in advance sales, underscoring its international appeal.

Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT: The Third Case is the third installment in the HIT franchise and continues the gripping saga of the Homicide Intervention Team. Nani reprises his role as the intense and rugged officer Arjun Sarkaar, delivering a performance that has been lauded by both critics and fans. The film also stars Srinidhi Shetty and features music by Mickey J. Meyer, cinematography by Sanu John Varghese, and editing by Karthika Srinivas.

Despite receiving an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification due to its intense action sequences, the film’s compelling narrative and high production values have drawn audiences back to theaters. Nani expressed his gratitude during a press interaction, stating, “Whenever I view myself as one among the audience, success follows. I’m overwhelmed by the love and support.”

Produced by Prashanti Tipirneni under Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, HIT: The Third Case not only sets a new benchmark for Nani but also revitalizes the theatrical experience for moviegoers. With its strong opening, the film is poised to be a significant box office success throughout May.
