MS Dhoni Turns ‘Animal’ in Hilarious New EMotorad Ad Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga!
The cricket legend channels Ranbir Kapoor’s fierce Ranvijay Singh persona—complete with mullet—in a fun twist on Vanga’s 2023 blockbuster Animal.
MS Dhoni has just stepped into Ranbir Kapoor’s shoes—or rather, onto an electric cycle—in a quirky new commercial for EMotorad. And guiding him through the transformation? None other than Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga himself!
In this tongue-in-cheek ad, Vanga reimagines scenes from his 2023 hit Animal, but with a twist: Dhoni’s weapon of choice is an eco-friendly e-cycle instead of a rifle. As the former Team India captain steps out of a luxury car holding the cycle, the scene pokes fun at the over-the-top flair Vanga’s film became famous (and infamous) for.
Dhoni plays along, delivering Ranbir’s iconic line, “Sunai de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hoon main” (“I can hear you, I’m not deaf”), to which Vanga gleefully responds, “Ab hua na mera hero ready” (“Now my hero is ready”). There’s even a moment when Dhoni cheekily asks, “Yeh thoda zyada nahi ho gaya?” (“Isn’t this a bit too much?”)—mirroring the criticisms Animal received for its extravagance.
