Mohanlal’s Vrusshabha Teaser Unveils Majestic Warrior-King — Set for Diwali 2025 Cinematic Spectacle
The teaser of Vrusshabha teases an epic dual-timeline fantasy action saga with Mohanlal playing a king, releasing in cinemas on October 16, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

The wait is finally over — the teaser for Vrusshabha, the ambitious fantasy-action drama starring Mohanlal, has been unveiled, and it promises something grand. The film follows a dual-timeline narrative: one set in the present day and another in a period backdrop where Mohanlal appears as a warrior king. At its core, the story explores a powerful father-son relationship woven with themes of rebirth, destiny, and emotional conflict.
Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi, Zara Khan, Srikanth Meka, and Neha Saxena alongside Mohanlal. Backed by Balaji Telefilms, Connekkt Media, and Abishek S. Vyas Studios, the project boasts an impressive technical crew. Antony Samson handles cinematography, KM Prakash takes charge of editing, while Sam CS delivers the background score. Academy Award-winner Resul Pookutty contributes with his sound design, enhancing the film’s grandeur. Action is choreographed by Peter Hein, Stunt Silva, and Nikhil, while the dialogues are penned by SRK, Janardhan Maharshi, and Karthik.
The teaser, released on September 18, 2025, has drawn comparisons to epic spectacles like Baahubali due to its scale, VFX, and grand visuals. While audiences have praised its production values and emotional heft, some reactions noted mixed feelings about Mohanlal’s look in certain sequences. Still, the teaser has generated massive anticipation, with fans eager to witness Lalettan in a larger-than-life royal avatar.
Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu, with dubbed versions in Hindi and Kannada, Vrusshabha is set for a global theatrical release on October 16, 2025, perfectly timed with Diwali.
