Miranda Cosgrove Teases Possible iCarly Movie to Resolve Revival Cliffhanger
Following iCarly’s Surprise Cancellation, Cosgrove Hints at a Project That Could Finally Give Fans the Ending They Deserve

In a recent interview, Miranda Cosgrove suggested an iCarly movie might be in the works to address the unanswered questions left by Paramount+’s decision to cancel the revival after three seasons.
Though Cosgrove couldn’t officially confirm details, she expressed optimism. “I think the fans of the show are going to be super excited because we have something in the works,” she teased on The Talk. When asked by host Natalie Morales if the project would feature familiar characters from the original series, Cosgrove replied, “Yes, and we actually ended the revival on a cliffhanger, and we’re going to wrap that up.”
Originally created by Dan Schneider, iCarly ran from 2007 to 2012 on Nickelodeon, following Carly Shay (Cosgrove) and her best friend Sam Puckett (Jeannette McCurdy) as they became internet sensations through their web show.
In 2021, iCarly was revived on Paramount+, with Cosgrove returning as Carly Shay, now an adult navigating work, love, and family life in a world shaped by social media. However, the revival’s abrupt end left fans wondering about Carly’s love life with Freddie (Nathan Kress) and the mystery of Carly’s mother.
If Cosgrove’s hints prove true, an iCarly movie could finally provide fans with the answers they’ve been waiting for.
