Mani Ratnam’s Mega Project Takes Delhi by Storm
A Tale of Power and Rebellion Unfolds as Filming Begins for Highly Anticipated Action-Thriller

In a bustling anticipation, the heart of India, Delhi, is set to witness the commencement of a cinematic extravaganza as acclaimed director Mani Ratnam gathers a stellar cast for his upcoming pan-India project. The capital city braces itself for over 20 days of intense filming, featuring the powerhouse trio of Kamal Haasan, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ali Fazal.
Scheduled to kickstart on April 23, Kamal Haasan, along with his co-stars, will immerse themselves in the soul of Delhi, capturing its essence amidst iconic landmarks such as the Red Fort and Qutub Minar, along with glimpses of everyday life in Delhi schools and farmhouses. Despite the soaring temperatures, the team remains undeterred, ready to seize the day for optimal daylight shots.
The reunion of Haasan and Ratnam after 36 years since their legendary collaboration on the crime epic “Nayakan” fuels excitement among cinephiles. Co-writing the script, Ratnam and Haasan craft a narrative described as “an epic tale of power, rebellion, and triumph,” promising audiences an immersive cinematic experience.
This monumental project marks Haasan’s 234th film, with its official title unveiled in November 2023. Originally announced in November 2022 under the working title KH 234, the film’s principal photography commenced in January of this year, with Chennai serving as one of its filming locations. Adding to the allure, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is set to weave his magic into the movie’s soundtrack, enhancing its cinematic grandeur.
