“Maa Vande”: Unni Mukundan to Portray Narendra Modi in New Biopic Unveiled on His 75th Birthday

The film, announced by Silver Cast Creations, will chronicle Modi’s journey from childhood to national leadership, with a strong focus on his bond with mother Heeraben and a pan-Indian release planned.

On September 17, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday — Silver Cast Creations officially announced Maa Vande, an ambitious biopic based on his life. Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan, who recently gained nationwide attention with his film Marco, has been cast to play Modi in the lead role.

From his childhood to his rise as India’s Prime Minister, Maa Vande promises to capture Modi’s inspiring journey. A key aspect of the narrative will highlight his deep connection with his mother, Heeraben Modi, whose influence has been central to his personal and political life.

Directed by Kranthi Kumar C.H. and produced by Silver Cast Creations, the project brings together some of Indian cinema’s most respected talents. The cinematography will be handled by K. K. Senthil Kumar, editing by Sreekar Prasad, production design by Sabu Cyril, with Ravi Basrur composing the music.

Unni Mukundan described the film as the story of “a man whose struggles transcend battles to become a revolution for the ages.” The title Maa Vande and its tagline, “The anthem of a mother,” emphasize the emotional and maternal influence at the heart of the story.

The film is being produced on a grand scale and will be released in multiple languages including Hindi, English, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, and Gujarati. While an official release date has not yet been announced, the makers have promised a powerful cinematic experience that reflects the legacy of Narendra Modi’s leadership and life.
