Lady Gaga Joins The Devil Wears Prada 2 in a Mystery Role
Spotted on set, Gaga teams up with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt for a sequel that will explore Miranda Priestly’s world amid the decline of print media

Lady Gaga has officially joined the cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2, taking on a yet-to-be-revealed role in the eagerly awaited sequel from 20th Century Studios. Her presence on set, including in Milan, quickly sparked excitement among fans and insiders, though details about her character remain under wraps.
The film will see the return of iconic cast members Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling. Production began in June 2025, with David Frankel directing from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna, and Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt producing.
Supporting actors Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are reprising their roles, while the sequel introduces new faces including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Rachel Bloom, and Patrick Brammall. The story is expected to shift focus to Miranda Priestly’s perspective as she navigates the challenges facing the print industry.
The film is slated for release on May 1, 2026. Meanwhile, Gaga has had a busy 2025, releasing her album Mayhem, hosting Saturday Night Live, headlining Coachella, kicking off her global Mayhem Ball tour, and appearing as Rosalind Rotwood in the second season of Wednesday.
