Lady Gaga Joins Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2: Fans Await Her Mysterious Role

After a viral TikTok dance sparked renewed fan interest, Gaga is confirmed to appear alongside Jenna Ortega in the highly anticipated second season, now filming in Ireland.

Lady Gaga is officially joining the cast of Wednesday on Netflix for its second season, according to sources reported by Deadline. This exciting casting news follows a viral trend on social media where fans used a sped-up version of Gaga’s hit “Bloody Mary” from her Born This Way album to accompany clips of Jenna Ortega’s iconic dance as Wednesday Addams.

While details of Gaga’s role remain under wraps, her appearance adds even more intrigue to a season already buzzing with new cast additions and fan anticipation. Filming kicked off in Ireland in April 2024, and as of August, four episodes had been completed, according to Jenna Ortega during her press tour for Beetlejuice.

This role marks Gaga’s latest acting venture after her portrayal of Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, where she starred alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Gaga’s acting credits also include standout performances in House of Gucci (2021) and A Star Is Born (2018).

Fans can also expect a deeper dive into the Addams family lore this season. At Netflix’s Tudum event in 2023, the Wednesday cast teased the inclusion of more beloved family members. Ortega mentioned her hope to see Cousin Itt, while it was later revealed that Joanna Lumley would portray Grandmama Addams.

The returning cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago. New faces this season include Billie Piper, Steve Buscemi, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
