Krysten Ritter Joins ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ in Mysterious New Role
The ‘Jessica Jones’ star to portray Mia Lapierre, a sommelier with a dark secret, in Showtime’s upcoming series.

Krysten Ritter, renowned for her roles in ‘Jessica Jones’ and ‘Orphan Black: Echoes,’ is set to make a compelling guest appearance in Showtime’s new drama series, ‘Dexter: Resurrection.’ The series continues the story of Michael C. Hall’s iconic character, Dexter Morgan.
Ritter will take on the role of Mia Lapierre, a distinguished sommelier who conceals a sinister secret. Her involvement in the series has sparked excitement among fans, especially after she shared an Instagram story captioned “NYC bound baby.” This post coincided with an interview featuring ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ showrunner Dario Scardapane, who announced that production for Season 2 of the Disney+ series would commence the following day.
This timing led to speculation that Ritter might reprise her role as Jessica Jones in the ‘Daredevil’ series, especially after Marvel Studios’ executive Brad Winderbaum mentioned the possibility of bringing back other Defenders characters to Disney+. However, it has been confirmed that Ritter’s New York trip is for her role in ‘Dexter: Resurrection.’

The main cast of the ‘Dexter’ follow-up, currently filming in New York City, includes David Zayas, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and Emilia Suárez.
Set to premiere this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime, ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ is executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who also returns as showrunner. Michael C. Hall serves as an executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Marcos Siega is the producing director, with Monica Raymund directing four episodes and Siega directing six. The series is produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios and will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
