GV Prakash Kumar and Divyabharathi Reunite in a Gripping Sea-Fantasy Thriller

In the upcoming Tamil-language fantasy horror film “Kingston,” director Kamal Prakash takes audiences on a chilling journey set in a mysterious coastal village. The film stars G. V. Prakash Kumar and Divyabharathi, who previously shared the screen in “Bachelor.” Marking his 25th lead role, G. V. Prakash Kumar not only headlines the cast but also produces the film under Parallel Universe Pictures, in collaboration with Zee Studios. He further lends his musical expertise by composing the film’s score.

The narrative unfolds in a serene fishing village plagued by eerie and unsettling events. Fishermen who venture into the sea meet tragic fates—some fall victim to violent attacks, while others are driven to inexplicable suicides. Onshore, the community grapples with spontaneous disasters, including devastating fires. G. V. Prakash Kumar portrays a carefree, profit-driven young man initially indifferent to the village’s turmoil. However, as darkness deepens, his curiosity compels him to delve into the mysteries, leading to the revelation of a formidable entity lurking beneath the ocean’s surface.

The film’s anticipation has been amplified by industry stalwarts Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi, who unveiled the trailer on their social media platforms. Esteemed director Vetrimaaran has also lauded the project, further heightening expectations. “Kingston” is slated for a theatrical release on March 7, 2025, promising audiences an immersive and spine-chilling cinematic experience.
