Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’ Premieres March 20 on Netflix

Bengali Cinema Icons Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jeet Madnani Unite in Gritty Crime Thriller

Netflix is set to release “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter,” the sequel to the acclaimed 2022 series “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter,” on March 20, 2025. This installment brings together Bengali cinema stalwarts Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jeet Madnani for the first time, under the direction of Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray. The series is produced by Shital Bhatia’s Friday Storytellers, with Neeraj Pandey serving as the showrunner.

Set in early 2000s Bengal, the narrative delves into a city dominated by power-hungry gangsters and politicians, where law enforcement struggles to maintain order. The story follows IPS officer Arjun Maitra’s quest for justice amidst shifting loyalties and hidden adversaries.

The announcement of the release date was made through a playful video shared on Netflix India’s Instagram, featuring Prosenjit and Jeet, affectionately known as Bumba Da and Boss, respectively.

Expressing his excitement about the collaboration and his Netflix debut, Jeet remarked, “I’m proud to be part of a project that showcases such authentic and nuanced storytelling to a global audience.” Prosenjit echoed this sentiment, stating that working with Jeet and the ensemble cast on a compelling story felt like perfect synergy.

“Khakee: The Bengal Chapter” also features a stellar lineup, including Saswata Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Chitrangada Singh, and Shraddha Das. The series promises intense action sequences and intricate plotlines, aiming to captivate audiences worldwide.
