Kevin Hart Embarks on Wild Bachelor Party in Netflix’s ’72 Hours’

Actor reunites with director Tim Story for upcoming comedy

Kevin Hart is set to star in the upcoming Netflix comedy 72 Hours, directed by his longtime collaborator Tim Story. The film follows a 40-year-old executive who, aiming to revitalize his faltering career, inadvertently becomes part of a group chat planning a bachelor party. Seizing the opportunity, he joins a group of twentysomethings on a raucous three-day adventure.

The screenplay is penned by Matt Mider, Kevin Burrows, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. Production is handled by Hartbeat, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance, and Will Packer Productions, with Ross Fanger serving as executive producer.

This project is part of a partnership between Sony Pictures and Netflix, established in 2021, granting Netflix first-look rights to Sony’s streaming-intended films.

Hart and Story have previously collaborated on successful films like Ride Along and Think Like a Man, both of which debuted at number one at the box office. Story’s directorial portfolio includes eight films that opened at number one during their debut weekends, collectively grossing over $1 billion.

Hart’s recent Netflix projects include Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only, The Roast of Tom Brady, and Lift, which became the platform’s number one global movie with 32.8 million views and 58.5 million hours watched in its first three days.

With 72 Hours, Hart and Story aim to deliver another comedic hit, blending generational humor with the chaos of an unforgettable bachelor party.
