Katy O’Brian Reflects on Her “Chaotic” Experience Filming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Actress Katy O’Brian, known for her role in Love Lies Bleeding, delves into her experience working on the set of the highly anticipated Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. O’Brian portrays the character Jentorra in the third installment of the franchise and sheds light on the distinctive nature of her introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
In a candid conversation with Entertainment Weekly, O’Brian jovially expressed, “Yeah, that was absolutely chaotic.” She recounted receiving script revisions until the final day of filming, even finding herself learning new fight choreographies at the eleventh hour. “I just show up, and they’re like, here’s a new fight,” she added with a laugh.
Despite the whirlwind production process, O’Brian was quick to commend her co-workers, describing them as “absolutely lovely.” She elaborated, “I thought me being this kind of like newbie, they might, I don’t know, either ignore me or I would just feel out of place, but they just always made it as welcoming as possible. I was surprised by that environment.”
In Ant-Man 3, O’Brian’s character Jentorra emerges as the leader of the Freedom Fighters in the Quantum Realm, a realm where Scott Lang (played by Paul Rudd) and his family find themselves trapped. Her realm is under the tyrannical rule of Kang the Conqueror until she unites forces with Ant-Man, the Wasp (portrayed by Evangeline Lilly), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), and the rebellious M.O.D.O.K. (played by Corey Stoll) to overthrow him.
